The town of Hasami in Nagasaki in Japan is one of the foremost pottery districts in Japan. About 400 years ago, Hasami began crafting its porcelainware distributing them throughout Japan, to Europe as well. Hasami craftsmen created a highly efficient system to mass produce their porcelain products. That makes possible to produce their products in quality and reasonable in price. HASAMI PORCELAIN was designed by Takuhiro Shinomoto who designs modern tableware with the organic quality produced by traditional Japanese manufacturing techniques.
HASAMI PORCELAIN products have the soft and comfortable texture that can feel a natural touch. They are made by using traditional glazing techniques with a proprietary blend of natural stone and clay materials. It gives the unique matte atmosphere. The another unique presentation of HASAMI PORCELAIN is that it is designed as functional nesting design for ease of being able to store efficiently for limited spaces. It’s simple yet functional design is perfect for either special occasions or for daily use. HASAMI PORCELAIN are practicality and multifunctionally in its design. Many of the products are versatile in function, for example the lids, which can also be used as trays or as plates.
